Outstanding breakfast buffet made mornings special.

I was very disappointed to find out the restaurant was closed during my stay. We arrived after a long day of hiking, only to discover we’d have to rely on takeout delivered at a high cost. It would have been really helpful to know about the restaurant closure before we booked, especially given the distance to town for dining options.

The stunning views of the Matterhorn from my balcony and the divine meals at the hotel restaurant made my solo trip unforgettable.

The décor was inviting, with cozy fireplaces creating a warm atmosphere throughout the hotel. The accessibility was great for senior guests, making it easy to navigate the lovely areas without any hassle.

I had a fantastic time at Matthiol. The staff impressed me with their friendliness and attention to detail. They even helped me arrange a surprise for my partner's birthday. Our room was cozy, clean, and equipped with a great coffee machine. The views of the Matterhorn from our room were simply breathtaking. I loved the wellness area, especially the sauna and outdoor jacuzzi after a long day of exploring. Breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious options, making mornings enjoyable. However, I did find the location a bit distant from the main attractions, which meant quite a walk back to the hotel. The room service wasn’t ideal. the order got mixed up, and we had to wait longer than expected without compensation. Additionally, the wellness area got crowded at times, detracting from the relaxing vibe. The restaurant prices felt high, especially for room service. Even with those issues, I would still recommend Matthiol for its stunning views and wonderful staff.

We had a wonderful stay filled with fantastic surprises! The outdoor hot tub was a highlight after skiing. Enjoying breakfast with made-to-order omelettes was a treat. Le Filet et Fils served the best tomahawk steak, making our culinary experiences unforgettable. Don't miss the spa facilities for ultimate relaxation.

The ambiance was delightful with breathtaking Matterhorn views and excellent breakfast choices, including fresh pastries and custom omelets. The staff offered friendly and attentive service, making my stay enjoyable and memorable.

The hotel’s location is a bit of a trek from the town center, requiring a 15-20 minute walk uphill, which might deter some guests. Additionally, the shuttle bus came every 30 minutes, limiting easy access to nearby attractions.

We had an amazing stay here! The igloo fondue dinner was such a fun and unique experience. The hot tub felt so relaxing after a day on the slopes. Plus, the spa facilities were top-notch. Our room had the most incredible views, which was the cherry on top!

We had a fantastic time with friends! The views were amazing, and the skiing was a blast. The restaurant offered delicious food—try the fondue! The room was cozy and clean, with a nice washroom. Perfect for unwinding after days filled with snowshoeing and ice skating.

Unfortunately, the location is a bit far from the main attractions, so expect a decent walk. Not a deal-breaker, but it's something to keep in mind.
